Marcia Agee, 78, a former professor of management in the Management and Economics Department at Hamline prior to the founding of HSB, passed away July 29, 2023. Though health problems eventually forced Marcia to retire before being able to earn Emerita status, she taught students for over ten years.
After retirement, Marcia became known for making "peace rocks". According to her obituary, "she especially loved spending time at her cabin on Lake Superior. She spent hundreds of hours collecting rocks from the shore and making them into magnets. She gave these rocks to friends, family, medical providers, and even strangers. She told them to put the rocks on their refrigerators to remind them every day that one person with good intentions can make a difference by spreading peace to others."
