Wholeness After Technology: A Poetics Toward Well-Being with Blythe Baird and Lewis Mundt

We live in a world in which insecurity is unacceptable yet promoted.  Certainly, we are not encouraged to talk about it.  “Never let them see you sweat!”  “How many IG followers do you have?”  These coping mechanisms are only band-aids; suppressed feelings undermine our nervous systems, overall well-being, and community.  How do we move beyond these insecurities and address their symptoms with courage?

Hamline’s Department of English and Communication Studies welcomes Blythe Baird (‘18) and Lewis Mundt (‘12) back to campus to explore and practice wellness in an increasingly digitized world.  Please join us for an exploration of the barriers to and sustainable practices toward well-being through narrative poetry.

Thursday, November 16, 7-8:30 pm
West Hall 240
Sponsored by the English and Communication Studies Department

The event is free and open to the public.
