Students Sara Dooley and Hailey Brady along with their research advisor, Dr. Urvashi Sandhir, presented a poster at the Minnesota American Chemical Society's Local Section. The presentation came at a mini-symposium on polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS) and was held in the University of Minnesota's Chemistry Department on November 9th, 2023.
This was the only undergraduate research poster at the symposium and was very well received by the audience.
The poster title is "Degradation of Perfluorooctanoic Acid in Water by a Pin to Water Discharge Cold Plasma."
Authors: Hailey Brady, Sara Dooley, Carin Huset, Rob Rossi, Peter Bruggeman and Urvashi Sandhir. Dr. Carin Huset is their collaborator from the Department of Health, Saint Paul. Professor Peter Bruggeman is their collaborator from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Minnesota.
