Sofía Pacheco-Fores, assistant professor of biological anthropology, published research using skeletal remains to reconstruct ancient migration networks in the journal Bioarchaeology International. She used tooth chemistry and morphology to identify multi-generational migrants at a site of mass human sacrifice in central Mexico.
