Voyles Receives Research Grant

Dr. Casper Voyles, assistant professor of public health, recently received a contract from the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Higher Education Program for $9,999 for a project titled "Phase Two Pilot Evaluation for Training Fire-Based EMS in LGBTQ+ Cultural Awareness." This grant will provide the opportunity to evaluate an intervention to engage EMS working in fire departments across the country in providing affirming care experiences for LGBTQ+ patients.
