Study Away and Study Abroad
Once you get to your new home, there will be many changes. Make sure to ask questions of your new professors, advisors, and other students on how to best fit into the local scene.
Learn about class expectations, as well as when you will have time to travel and explore a bit more independently. Do your best in classes, just like you do while on campus at Hamline. If you need any help, make sure to speak up and ask.
Also, remember that things might not be how you are used to having them done. Try living like the locals and adopting some of their traditions and culture. Remember–it’s not right, it’s not wrong, it is just different.
