Bush Memorial Library Virtual Tour
Virtual campus tour
Students will spend many hours in Bush Memorial Library throughout their time at Hamline. While most library resources and research assistance are now available online, 24/7, our 83,210 square foot facility provides Pipers with many resources and services. The library's traditional materials like print books and DVDs are located here, and you can find technology and research assistance at the Central Service Desk.
Three floors provide a large variety of study spaces for students to work collaboratively on group projects, with the top floor reserved for individual, quiet study. Additionally, the Center for Academic Success and Achievement (CASA), the Writing and Communication Center, a Digital Media Arts (DMA) lab, the sound studio, and the Archives all reside in the lower level. The College of Liberal Arts Deans' offices and the K-12 Curriculum collection are on the second floor. Finally, there are classrooms on each level of the library.
The library offers classes for students, faculty, and staff members to demonstrate how to best use the library's resources for their research and scholarly purposes. Library liaisons are available for subject-specific assistance and instruction. The library also houses the university's archives, which hold thousands of historical items including photographs, memorabilia, yearbooks, and letters.
